Moorish Feast Workshop

The uber delicious cuisine of the Moors will be the focus of this fun cooking class on Sunday 18th October.
The Moorish nomadic people played a huge role in the influence of Spanish cooking, as well as North African and Moroccan.
Cooking in wood burning ovens and clay pots originates from The Moors. Cumin, coriander, cinnamon, nutmeg and saffron are some of the spices that the Moors are most famous for are. The Moorish people were the traders that introduced oranges and many other fruits from the far east into the Mediterranean Basin.
For this feast Chef Ronit will demonstrate homemade harissa, chermoula paste, a sumptuous date & lamb tagine or chicken and olives tagine, roasted vegetarian salad or slow cooked tagine, authentic couscous, green salad with oranges & pomegranate, to finish with orange blossom fig cake or nut fingers served with mint tea and Arabic coffee.
At the end of the class, we will all share the meal together at the feasting banquet table and basque in the fruits of our labour.
On arrival you will be welcome with variety of home made nibbles, seasonal drink and an introduction to the cuisine and menu to be learned. All classes include a folder of recipes to take home.
Take in the stunning scenery on our property in the rolling hills of Myocum, overlooking a lagoon and wander the organic veggie gardens.

Classes are held in our fully equipped commercial Myocum kitchen.
We are able to accommodate up to 10 people, which makes this a fantastic opportunity for groups of friends or colleagues.


Workshops cost $165 (GST incl.) per class.
This class is non-refundable, but is transferable (with 2 weeks notice from original cooking class date).
