Ethiopia has some of the world’s most ancient history, culture, and geography. While most other African countries came under colonial rule, Ethiopia has remained an independent country since its inception.
Even if you’re unable to visit this ruggedly beautiful country, you can still experience a key aspect of Ethiopian culture by trying its delectable cuisine.
If you’re new to this ancient and wonderful culinary culture, it offers a flavourful and healthy variety of stewed meats, vegetables, lentils, and grains. Ethiopia’s culinary bounty provides a vast selection of spicy, flavourful stews, flatbreads, porridges, and stir-fries.
The best part about Ethiopian food is that you get to sample multiple dishes, using spongy injera to cradle each flavourful bite.
We will be cooking Tibs, Doro wot, Injera, Azifa, Sambuusa and many more…
A large part of embracing Ethiopian food is immersing yourself in the traditional way of eating together, as a family or group. In an increasingly individualistic world, the Ethiopian dining experience shines a light on the importance of human connection and bonding over food!
